Description

- Sam Pan Bok is in Northeastern Thailand, on the bank of the Mekong. Sam Phan Bok or the three thousand holes is located at Ban Song Khon, Lao Ngam Sub-district, Pho Sai District, Ubon Ratchathani Province.

- Sam Pan Bok is known as the "Grand Canyon of Thailand" and is the biggest rock reef in the Mekong River. One of the tourist attraction of Ubon Ratchathani. They are the rapids under the Mekong River eroded by the swirling water in the flooding season until they turned to have more than 3,000 holes or Bok.

- These rapids can be noticed in the dry season when there is no water. The best period for travel here is October til June. Because of the water level will be low and can see very nice view.

- There are some neighbouring interesting attractions such as Hat Salueng, a white sandy beach stretching along the Mekong River, and Pak Bong, the narrowest point of the Mekong River along its length of over 700 kilometres, with a width of 56 metres.

- One of the highlights place must visit when you come to Ubon Ratchathani.
