Description

- Phra Maha Chedi Chai Mongkol on the premises of Wat Pha Namthip Thep Prasit Vararam in Roi Et province, is one of the largest chedis(pagoda) in North Eastern of Thailand.

- This huge chedi is 101 meters long, 101 meters wide and 101 meters high and was built on a plot measuring 101 Rai(which is about 40 acres). The number "101" symbolises the name of the province(Roi Et is one hundred one in Thai numerals). This pagoda enshrining the relic of the Lord Buddha.

- You will see the beautiful architecture and everything in this temple is the symbols of Buddhist and have many meanings.
